Today, in the wake of horrible news about the damage Super Typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) has inflicted over the Visayas region, I have received even more saddening news. A brother and fellow awesome kid, Lorenzo Managbanag, the son of one of the President of the Autism Society Philippines Ormoc Region, has passed away in the midst of the storm.
On behalf of Team Awesomeness, my condolence go to the Managbanag family for the loss. And Lorenzo, my brother and fellow awesome, I offer you and our fallen brothers in the Visayas region this little poem:
The battle that you have fought has finally come to an end;
Rest in peace, my brother, along with our fallen brethren.
You’ll be in the loving arms of the Almighty Father;
The Sun, the Moon, and the stars bow down to you forever.
Now is the time to help the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
